At Sugar Ridge, we believe that diversity within a unified framework is God's will for the church. Our church is made up of many different kinds of people, with different backgrounds and life experiences. We have no set music preferences; on a given Sunday one might expect to hear worship music in a cappella, bluegrass, southern gospel, contemporary, or even just a piano accompaniment. We believe that God gifts people to glorify Him, and we allow people to use their gifts as God leads them.
While we believe that diversity is vital to community, we also believe that unity is fundamental within the Christian faith. We are unwavering in our commitment to the total authority of Scripture, the exclusivity of grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and uncompromising obedience to the Sovereignty of God Almighty.

The Sugar Ridge Baptist Church was originally founded as the First Baptist Church of North Ridgeville in 1957. Over nearly a half of a century our church our church has experienced many changes. In the 1960's a new sanctuary was added to the original building. In the early 1990's a spacious meeting hall was built to allow our church to have more fellowship together. Finally, in the mid 1990's an outdoor pavilion was built for us to enjoy the beauty of Gods creation. In 2002 our church became members with the Northcoast Baptist Association.
